Description

In this challenge, master students work on an innovation management challenge. The solutions will be practically relevant and supported by collected data and relevant (academic) literature. They will receive training and guidance by lecturers from University of Amsterdam.

Program: Master Business Administration

Course: Innovation Management

Students per team: 4-5 students.

No of teams per challenge: 3-6 teams per challenge

No. of hours spent per team: 150 hours (this is the total amount of hours spent by all team members)

Duration: November - December

Supervision: Student teams are supervised and guided by senior lecturers.

Deliverables: Presentation and report (in the form of slides) with recommendations.

Company time investment: 6-10 hours in total (e.g. kick-off meeting, Q&A session(s), final presentation, etc.)

Costs: Free of charge

Emerging Technology Assessment: “Explore how a nascent technology could unlock new strategic growth avenues for our core business.”

Experience Redesign Brief: “Re-envision a key touchpoint to simultaneously elevate user satisfaction and reduce resource consumption.”

AI Enablement Challenge: “Determine where intelligent tools could most effectively augment our knowledge-intensive workflows without eroding human creativity.”

IP Positioning Question: “Recommend the optimal protection and commercialization pathway for a novel process or invention in our portfolio.”

Ecosystem & Standards Play: “Formulate a market approach that lets us influence, rather than merely adapt to, emerging industry standards in our domain.”

October 1: Deadline for submitting your challenge

October 1 (or sooner): Receiving message if your challenge is approved by the Course Coordinator

October 27: Introduction session

November 24: Mid term Q&A session

December 18 or 19: Final presentations in time slots of 30 minutes (after you are matched to a team, we will schedule the time slots).
