Vibe Coding Challenge - Build Software With AI

Organization: Master Challenge Subject: Software Engineering City: Amsterdam

Summary

Build a working prototype in 6 weeks, with a pair of students and weekly guidance from experienced vibe-coding coaches.

Description

In this Vibe Coding Challenge, a duo of motivated students will help you build a testable MVP / prototype in just six weeks using modern AI-assisted development tools (“vibe coding”).

You bring the problem, context, and feedback. The students build, and we guide them weekly with a proven sprint process and extensive experience with vibe-coding tools, so progress stays fast and focused.

✅ Key features of the challenge

Students per team: 2 students (master or 3rd year bachelor, carefully selected)

No. of hours spent per team: 144 hours (2 students × 12h/week × 6 weeks)

Duration: 6 weeks (March 2 - April 10) (extracurricular)

Supervision: Students are guided weekly by our coaches (vibe-coding process + tooling expertise). The project direction and content are mainly under the supervision of the company contact person.

Deliverables: Working prototype + demo + short handover documentation + backlog/next steps

Company time investment: 6–10 hours total (kick-off + weekly check-ins + final demo)

Matching fee: €1,250 (ex VAT, and ex costs for tooling (~€200))

📑 Challenge Examples

The student duo can work on challenges where rapid prototyping creates immediate value, for example:

Internal tools to replace manual Excel/Google Sheets workflows

Dashboards that combine data sources into one clear view

Simple customer/admin portals (intake, uploads, status tracking)

Automations for repetitive tasks (ops, sales, HR, customer support)

AI-assisted workflows (summarization, triage, classification, drafting)

A first SaaS MVP to validate a new concept with real users

A proof-of-concept integration using APIs (CRM, ticketing, finance, etc.)

In general: if your idea can be scoped into a demoable prototype in 4 weeks, it’s likely suitable.

🏢 Company requirement

To make this 6-week format successful, we ask companies to:

Have a clear problem owner (single point of contact) who can make quick decisions

Be available for short weekly feedback moments (30 minutes)

Provide what’s needed to build (e.g., dummy data, process steps, API access, examples, brand assets)

Keep scope focused on an MVP (small, testable, valuable)

💰 Costs

To help facilitate this challenge, a matching fee of €1,250 (ex VAT and ex costs for tooling (~€200)) per team applies.

❗️You will only be charged when matched to a student duo.
